Alpha Kappa Alpha signs historic pact with Black-owned voting system firm

CHICAGO -- In what is being hailed as a testimony to the vision and
foresight of Alpha Kappa Alpha's leadership, TruVote International Inc., an
African-American-owned voting system company, has been contracted by the
sorority's board of directors to conduct four of Alpha Kappa Alpha's
regional elections and its national election.

The national election, which will be held July 6-12 in Orlando, Fla.,
during the sorority's national convention, will result in the election of a
complete slate of officers including the national president-elect.
