Christ Church Apostolic celebrates a history of saving souls
Silver anniversary services of Christ Church Apostolic will be celebrated
May 16-19 at the downtown Marriott Hotel.
On a Wednesday night, Feb. 23, 1976, the pastor and founder of Christ
Church Apostolic, Bishop James E. Tyson, held a meeting in a borrowed
church. That meeting marked the birth of Christ Church Apostolic.
Although uncertainty existed regarding a regular meeting place, Bishop
Tyson procured a place of worship for the church at Ebenezer Lutheran
Church. Christ Church held its first worship service at Ebenezer on Fri.,
Feb. 25, 1976.
