Beauty Queen at Sugan
THE famous Irish play The Beauty Queen of Leenane is coming to Boston as
announced by the Sugan Theatre Company. The production of Irish playwright
Martin McDonagh's award winning comedy opens on November 2 and will run
through the 18th.
The play premiered in 1996 in Dublin to rave reviews.
Shortly after it's opening it was transferred to the Royal Court Theatre in
London and then later to New York where it won four Tonys in 1998.
The humorous Beauty Queen of Leenane takes place in a small County Galway
cottage where, "you can't kick a cow without someone bearing a grudge for
20 years."
