TOMS RIVER -- The Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders are just saying
no to any proposed revisions in the cost share ratios for beach restoration
projects.

"We want the Bush Administration to fully support all federal funding
requests for shore protection projects on Long Beach Island and all other
beaches in Ocean County," said Freeholder Director Joseph H. Vicari, who
also serves as liaison to Ocean County's Tourism Industry.

In a resolution, passed by the Freeholders today, the Board argued that
proposed cuts to beach restoration projects would unduly burden state and
local governments and would particularly impact the programmed beach
