We have become a nation of travelers. We may breakfast in London, dine in
Rome and sample the foods of a multitude of destinations in between.
American taste buds have become selective and sophisticated, resulting in a
new appreciation of certain foods, such as artisan cheeses.
This has led to a renaissance in farmhouse cheese-making, and nowhere is it
flourishing more than in New England. Small companies have cropped up
