Personally, I never met a diet I didn't like. The grapefruit diet, the
cabbage diet, the rotation diet, the rice diet, the Stillman diet, the
Sugarbuster diet, and on and on and on -- all tried in an effort to keep my
weight close to what it was when I was younger.

Most of them didn't work well for me -- with one exception. The Atkins diet
-- named after Robert C. Atkins, M.D., founder of the Atkins Center for
Complementary Medicine -- did as promised with an added bonus. Not only did
it help take some weight off quickly, but it also seemed to help with my
cholesterol, which is dangerously high.

My latest test showed my HDL, the good cholesterol, is up, ...
