In Nita Ben-Dov's class at the University of Haifa, 40 students listen to
the hidden, feminine voice of S.Y. Agnon, one of the giants of Hebrew
literature. And in Hannah Naveh's course at Tel Aviv University, over 200
students read travelogues from Homer to the present from a feminist
perspective.

These are only two of dozens of women and gender studies classes that have
become some of the most popular on Israeli campuses in the past few years.
