BETWEEN THE LINES: Dilemma of Black Business; 10 Years Revisited

Ten years ago last week, I wrote my very first article, under this by-line,
about the dilemmas that faced black business growth and longevity. Nineteen
ninety-one was the first year of a new decade that saw black businesses
struggling to get to the next level of growth, and a politic that was
afraid to challenge the status quo on issues of economic justice and
