Summer Pro League Returns

The 32nd Annual Summer Pro League (SPL), the nation's premier summer
professional basketball league, recently announced the schedule for the
2001 season.

This year's SPL season will run from Sat., July 7-Sun. July 29, composed of
five games a day at 10:30am, 12:45pm, 3:00pm, 5:15pm and 7:30pm.

Once again, the Pyramid on the campus of Cal State Long Beach plays host.

"One hundred games of basketball in 20 days is a basketball fan's dream
come true," says John Younesi, SPL president. "Throw in that tickets are
