Mayor Jim Hahn joined 2003 African American Heritage Celebration Chairman
and Owner/Director of One United Bank Jheryl Busby, music legend Stevie
Wonder, and gospel artists Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, and Donnie
McClurkin to kick off the city's African American Heritage celebration on
Friday, Jan. 17.
"I am honored to serve as Mayor Hahn's Chair of the African American
Heritage Celebration, which brings together all the cultures throughout the
city participating in events, such as the Children's Village, the city's
community reception, and Debbie Allen's award winning play Pearl," said Mr.
