Happy Thanksgiving! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! It's that time of year
again, a five-week holiday season, which people enjoy togetherness, good
cheer, and good food.

Eating too much seems to be the national pastime for most people in our
society, resulting in added feelings of guilt for those who want to lose
weight. Stress begins to build tremendously, often leading people eat more.

Over the years, many studies have shown that people gain several pounds
over the holidays. They allow special foods and large meals to take center
