Cartoonist joins Michigan Citizen
"I'm obsessed. I'm obsessed with what I do," says nationally-recognized
cartoonist Joe Young, Jr. as he leans back in his chair. For the moment,
the chair separates Young from a desk strewn with memos, manuscripts,
proposals and comic strips in the making. The
cartoonist/writer/producer/director as paused in his hectic schedule to
reveal his latest artistic endeavor, the creation of a neo-hip-hop,
life-skills teaching, multi-ethnic comic strip character who goes by the
name of Eddie Rodriguez-Washington - a.k.a. "Mega-Eddie."
Young is no longer the 7-year-old who used to run to his mother with his
newest skit, play, poem, ...
