Who is Andrew Cuomo? Running for governor of what?
Although the race for governor of New York state is almost two years away,
the incumbent, Gov. George Pataki, has already begun to run as if the
election were this fall. Whoever wins the race for mayor of New York City
will have a huge say in persuading the other voters of New York City that
we ought to have a governor who is supportive of New York City. We have not
had such a governor in a long time.
Mario Cuomo pretended, with great good grace, that he favored New York
City, or that he was at least receptive to the idea that New York and New
Yorkers ought to survive in spite of the favoritism ...
