The voices of the past are alive in the words and wisdom of the elders, and
in the oral history that each generation has passed on. Native American
Joyzelle Godfrey, Euro-American Lilah Pengra and African-American Joyce
Jefferson hope their new historical play will bring a greater understanding
of diverse cultures to their audience as they bring to life the words of
three women from the American West.
Three Voices: Speaking From The Past was performed at The Journey Museum on
May 12 and explores the values of Lakota, Euro-American and
