With a stunning new biography and a new tribute album out, the music -- and
legend -- of Hank Williams, Sr. refuses to lay down in the back of a
Cadillac and die.
The new album is called Timeless (Lost Highway Records) and features covers
of Hank's songs by some of the most respected artists in country, folk, pop
and rock. The list includes Beck's "Your Cheatin' Heart"; Bob Dylan's "I
Can't Get You Off Of My Mind"; Keith Richard's "You Win Again"; and
Alt-Country Queen Lucinda Williams (no relation, sorry) moanful version of
"Cold, Cold Heart."
