Local African American Women are Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

On Oct. 22, in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a special
group of African American men and women will join 12,000 others in Golden
Gate Park for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast
Cancer, a five-mile walk benefitting breast cancer programs.

They are members of the American Cancer Society's African Americans Task
Force, a group dedicated to educating the Bay Area's African American
community about cancer prevention and the importance of early detection,
