Jazz legends pushed genre's boundaries: Experimental works of Miles Davis,
Ornette Coleman featured on reissues
What are (if any) the "outer limits" of jazz? The question itself is
ambiguous - does it mean how "far out" can jazz go or "where" does jazz end
and some other genre begin? The questions arise from several recordings,
new and reissued, that push the limits.
A music that is undeniably jazz, and great jazz, but that pushes the
limits, is the brilliant "Malinka's Dance" (Omni-Tone). The performers are
