The Passaic County Democratic Committee has re-elected their leader. On
Tuesday June 10, 2003 the committee re-elected Chairman John Currie
(D-Wayne) as their leader.

"Obviously I am extremely honored that the Passaic County Democratic
leadership has entrusted me with this position," said Currie, "I have
served as chairman with great pride and will continue to do so."

Chairman Currie was elected to the Chairmanship in June 1990, at that time
the Freeholder Board was Republican controlled (7 to 0). Since then the
Chairman and the Passaic County Democratic infrastructure has been able to
