The original Broadway musical "Swing!" jumps, jives and wails its way into
The Playhouse Theatre at the Hotel du Pont for 13 performances, May 10
through 19.
"Swing!" celebrates the music and dance phenomenon that swept the nation in
the '30s and '40s, and which recently enjoyed a resurgence as a popular
dance trend. More than a dance revue, the musical crosses ethnic and
cultural barriers, highlighting an eclectic mix of Jive, Latin Swing, West
Coast Swing, Hip-Hop Swing and Country Music Swing. It is this
multidimensional quality of "Swing!" that garnered critics' praise and led
