Pepsi's Polish American Challenge

A mainstream company again earned the ire of polka fans across the country
when The Pepsi-Cola Company began airing a television and radio promotion
that pokes fun at polka music.

The "Pepsi Polka Commercial," as it has become to be known within the
Polish American community, was part of a Pepsi promotion in which polka,
folk and lounge acts made fun of their own music. However, it is only in
the polka commercial that the music being played is called "stupid."

The television commercial features a polka band and three couples dancing
