A Portland delegation to Cape Town this week hopes to reinvent strategies
for international trade and local business development through reinvesting
in South Africa.
North Portland community activist Carl Flipper and two native South African
business people who now reside in Oregon are visiting the formerly
apartheid-torn nation for five days.
Their goal is to bring back economic opportunities to Oregon as well as
create such opportunities in South Africa, under the auspices of a
non-profit called USARSA.
