ED VINCENT WINS STATE SENATE SEAT
The number of African Americans in the 40-member California State Senate
remained at two with the election of Edward Vincent, (D), from the
Inglewood-Gardena area.
Vincent was successful in State Senate District 25, the senatorial district
previously represented by longtime legislator Teresa Hughes. Ms Hughes
retired.
