National Black Chamber of Commerce honors The Washington Informer Newspaper

The National Black Chamber of Commerce last week honored the Washington
Informer Newspaper as "Best Newspaper of the Year" for its commitment to
covering positive news in the African-American community and for its public
service.

The award was presented at a luncheon held at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,
located in Washington, D.C. during the NBCC's 9th Annual Convention.

"I think that this is a great award that is well-deserved by the Washington
Informer whose current leadership is carrying on in the tradition of the
