Fed: Hill maintains full confidence in intelligence agencies

CANBERRA, Sept 16 AAP - Defence Minister Robert Hill has expressed full confidence in Australia's intelligence agencies over information to the government ahead of the war on Iraq.

Senator Hill said he was puzzled at the inability of coalition forces in Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction.

But he said he was not concerned that Australian intelligence agencies did not pass on a British Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC) report in February, before the the decision was made to join the war.
