TRANSMARCO Concepts Sdn Bhd, licenceholder for the Hush Puppies brand,
expects its shoe sales to reach RM50 million in 2005.
The company sold RM30 million worth of shoes in its financial year to
March 2003.
This two-third increase will be in tandem with the jump in the pair of
shoes sold to 500,000 from 300,000 in the year ended March 2003. The average
cost of a pair of Hush Puppies shoes is RM100.
Managing director Antonius Sutanto said that the boost in sales will
be a result of the growth in the number of Hush Puppies outlets to 55 from
the current 40 within the next two years.
