THE Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange yesterday announced the final extension of the authorised nominee status for the Central Depository (Pte) Ltd for a period of six months, just hours before it was supposed to lapse.
In a statement, it said the extension was until June 30, 2000 and was to provide "a final opportunity" for CDP to resolve the Central Limit Order Book issue.
Prior to this, the authorised nominee status for CDP was to expire yesterday and the KLSE said the CDP had been duly notifed of the final extension.
