ALOR STAR, Fri. - The Health Ministry will submit a working paper recommending higher hospital charges for foreigners to the Cabinet soon, following a dramatic increase in their use of government health facilities.

Its minister, Datuk Chua Jui Meng, today said the new charges were proposed by the National Economic Action Council. He was speaking after officiating at a Kedah Buddhist gathering.
"We have prepared a higher fee structure and the proposal will be submitted to the Government soon for approval," he said.
