MY nephew, who is a sportsman, developed stress fracture due to excessive long-distance running.
He had been having severe back and left leg pain for the past two years.
He saw several private and government doctors, but to no avail.
However, after consultation with an orthopaedic surgeon of Ipoh Hospital, he opted for a surgery.
He was admitted to the spinal care unit in March. Screw fixation was done to his spine and he was able to stand the very next day.
