THE Association of Banks in Malaysia recently hosted a dinner in honour of Tan Sri Ali Abul Hassan Sulaiman, former governor of Bank Negara Malaysia, at Menara Maybank.

Ali Abul Hassan was appointed governor in September 1998. He is succeeded by Datuk Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz, who was accompanied at the dinner by her husband Dr Tawfiq Ayman.
