KLCS set to acquire Alor Setar Securities Sdn Bhd very soon

KUALA LUMPUR City Securities Sdn Bhd is expected to confirm the purchase of its fourth stockbroking firm, Kedah-based Alor Setar Securities Sdn Bhd, this week.

Alor Setar Securities is owned by property developer Ideal Appraisal Sdn Bhd.
Sources said Ideal Property, linked to KFC Holdings (M) Bhd's major shareholder Izhar Sulaiman, is forced to sell Alor Setar due to the Securities Commission's guidelines pertaining to the consolidation of the stockbroking sector.
