Complaint by patient at Ipoh Hospital to be investigated

IPOH, Sun. - The State Medical and Health Services Department will look into a complaint by a lorry driver who alleged he was not given prompt treatment by the Ipoh Hospital, its deputy director Dr Omar Said Ahmad said today.
According to a local tabloid yesterday, the lorry driver had fractured his fingers and was not properly attended to.
On the training of medical staff for the Ipoh Hospital palliative care unit, Dr Omar said training would initially be conducted at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kota Kinabalu.
