SECRET Recipe, which is particularly well known for its range of cheesecakes, is planning to set up 19 new cafe outlets by end 2001.
This will increase the cafe chain's outlets from the present 17 to 36.
Half the number of outlets to be opened are expected to be company- owned, and the rest will be franchise outlets.
Of Secret Recipe's current 17 outlets spread across Klang, Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Penang, Ipoh, Kajang, Johor Baru and Singapore, eight are franchise stores, and the rest under the company banner.
