KUALA LUMPUR, Sun. - Timing the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair 2001 to coincide with the school holidays proved to be a popular decision with both the visitors and the participants.
Thousands of visitors have been streaming into the fair held at the Putra World Trade Centre since May 23 to the obvious delight of the 117 local and overseas publishers and book distributors who had filled up the 376 stalls with books, magazines and computer software.
And when they left, the visitors were often seen laden with bags of books and other reading materials.
