Q: I LOVE reading your column in the New Straits Times. I had tried out your Steamed Cheesecake, which turned out beautifully after an hour of steaming. But, when I took the cake out from the steamer, the cake shrunk to about half its height. Why does this happen?
I have a Layer Cake recipe, which is quite nice, but the cake turned out quite compact instead of slightly light and spongy. Please advise.
