Q: PLEASE specify the section of the law that provides for the formula for calculation of unpaid leave. Does it make a difference if the company adopts a rate of pay based on 26 days a month?
2. The new staff took one day off two weeks after he joined the company on March 28. That means he took leave in April and according to the formula provided, the correct calculation of the unpaid leave should be RM2,250.00 x 1/30 instead of RM2,250.00 x 1/31 as there are only 30 days in the month of April. Is this correct?
