"I PROBABLY wouldn't have gone out, bought alcohol and started drinking if it were just me," says 17-year-old Adrian Tan (not his real name).

Adrian stopped drinking and smoking two years ago, but his hands still shake when he's around cigarettes. Even now, his firm resolve can't dent the craving for nicotine.
Adrian is a nice kid. He has a great sense of humour and he's intelligent. But he succumbed to peer pressure.
