FAM wants cash up front for foreign players

IT isn't bonds that the FA of Malaysia want now, but rather hard cash from teams wishing to hire foreign players for their Premier League campaigns next season.
The "deposit" for each foreign player is RM240,000.
The FA of Malaysia will pay the salaries of the foreign players from the deposits, and the difference will be returned to the teams once the season is over.
It may appear that FAM does not have much faith in their affliates, but in reality this move was prompted by poor financial management of State Fas who have had problems paying wages to players.
