A BACKBENCHER has blamed civil servants for allowing illegal settlements to sprout nationwide, saying they should be "the eyes, ears, hands and legs of the Government" in the matter.
Gelang Patah MP Chang See Ten said such settlements continued to flourish because of the atttide of some civil servants.
"This problem has serious implications on national security. It should be taken seriously by every Malaysian citizen, especially civil servants who are the eyes, ears, hands and legs of the Government," he said.
