HONG Leong Bank Bhd achieved "success beyond our expectation" within three days after installing the HNC Falcon Fraud Manager, a software aimed at mitigating fraud on the bank's credit cards, in late January.

"The amount of fraud that we prevented was more than the cost of installing the HNC software," said senior group managing director Datuk James Lim at a Press conference yesterday.
He declined to give out details on how much was actually saved.

The bank spent more than RM1 million on the software.
