Exhibitor ventures into film distribution

MEGA Pavilion (M) Sdn Bhd, one of the major film exhibitors in the industry, will venture into the film distribution business in the country beginning next month.
The company secured a film distribution licence from the National Film Development Board last month.
With Mega Pavilion joining the fray, there are now 15 film distributors in the country, including four from Hollywood.
Its general manager Suhaimi Rafdi said the expansion into film distribution is to further support the cinema core business and complement the film industry by offering more choices to consumers.
