BENTONG, Sun. - Barisan Nasional retained the Ketari State seat with a convincing victory over the DAP, securing nearly a 10-fold increase in the majority compared with the 1999 general election.
BN's Yum Ah Ha, 50, scored 7,153 votes to defeat DAP's Choong Siew Onn, 34, who managed 4,949 votes.
That gave BN a majority of 2,204, a massive increase from the 1999 majority of 231.
