ARE your dining chairs looking tired and dull? A good solution is to dress them up with smart fabric covers that will transform them into seats worthy of a banquet.

The covers are much easier to make than their bustled appearance suggests. You just need to measure the vital statistics of your dining chair, taking into account the slight splaying of the legs, then cut out and sew together five rectangular pieces to fit these dimensions. Add a lavish bow for a final flourish.
