Q: I AM in my mid-30s and am suffering from asthma. In spite of medication, I still cough (with thick phlegm in the mornings) and have occasional wheezing.

I have stopped smoking and drinking alcohol. Does emotional stress cause asthma? I find that I get very frequent attacks when I am anxious or depressed.
