FOR panoramic scenic vistas, nothing beats the view from an airplane making its descent into Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

From sweeping views of Mount Kinabalu to seas with water so clear the sea-beds are plainly transparent, Sabah couldn't have picked a better site for its capital city. The plane seemingly would taxi right off into the sea before making a sharp turn into the parking apron and the terminal building.
