THE QUESTION: Do inhaled steroids - which some people with asthma and other immune-related disorders use for extended periods - have any effect on cataract risk?
PAST STUDIES have shown that steroids taken by mouth or through injection may increase the risk of cataracts. It is uncertain whether this is also true of inhaled steroids.
