Article: Floral Park site of clean-up effort

On July 19, Chairwoman Dr. Barbara Carey-Shuler and the Floral Park
Homeowners/Neighborhood Improvement Association hosted the second annual
neighborhood clean up.

Residents came out in droves to support the clean up, and more than 100
volunteers from various youth-oriented service organizations came out to
assist the residents.

Carey-Shuler kicked off the event by sponsoring a southern-style breakfast
and City of Miami Commissioner Arthur E. Teele sponsored lunch from Burger
King. The event was staged at St. Lukes Missionary Baptist Church, Rev.
Woodrow Jenkins, Jr., pastor.
