Federal Court sits for first time at Palace of Justice

PUTRAJAYA, Mon. - The Federal Court sat for the first time today at the new RM270 million Palace of Justice here.
Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Haidar Mohd Noor, who presided over the court, sat with Federal judges Datuk Siti Norma Yaakob and Datin Paduka Rahman Hussain.
They heard 10 motions and two appeals.
Some 30 lawyers, 20 reporters and members of the public were present in the courtroom when hearing began at 9am.
The same quorum will sit for the next three days.
However, there was no sitting today in the second Federal Court and the six Courts of Appeal.
