JOHANNESBURG, Oct. 30 (IPS/GIN) -- In a bid to boost South
Africa's economy, European tour operator Thomas Cook, South African
Tourism, Tourism KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape Tourism Board
(WCTB) have signed an agreement to have charter flights from
Germany.
The initiative is expected to inject an estimated R188 million
(about $27.2 million) into the South African economy.
The first of 26,000 Germans over the next two years to South
Africa will land at Cape Town International airport on November 1.
The visitors will fly direct from Germany into Cape Town or
Durban on seven-day packages that encourage add-on options ...
