Federal regulators have notified Dean Foods Co., one of the nation's largest dairy processors, that it is considering legal action against the company in connection with bankrupt grocery distributor The Fleming Cos.
Officials of Dallas-based Dean said Wednesday they received notice from the Securities and Exchange Commission that the agency was considering bringing civil injunctive action against the company. The agency's notice accused Dean Foods of aiding and abetting Fleming in connection with acceleration of revenue recognition, Dean said in a statement.
Two officers of the Dean Dairy Group subsidiary also received similar notices containing the same ...
