Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson says the club's rivalry with Liverpool is bigger than the derby with Manchester City.
The defending English champion, two points behind leader Arsenal, plays Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
"The Manchester City-Manchester United derby game is fantastic," Ferguson told Sky Sports on Friday. "It's wonderful. But funnily enough, I don't think it reaches the proportion of Liverpool-Manchester United.
"Other people look at it differently. I tend to look at it as the clash of the titans in this area. Just look at the history of the clubs in the last three decades."
